  What Are Your Predictions for 2020 and Beyond?

  2020 the society will continue to have financial problems with massive pay outs because of their lack of protecting their young people from a religion that harbors thousands of pedophiles.

  thus this and other religions that has an 1800's mentality will continue to lose their young people.

  with the religion's lies easily found on the internet the smart ones will continue to leave in droves.

  ewart chitty was appointed as secretary-treasurer , which position he held until his appointment to the governing body in november 1974.. when in brooklyn, chitty seems to have preferred younger men as roommates.

  the actual charge brought to the gb against chitty was made by a former roommate and involved some sort of inappropriate conduct.

  the gb concluded that chitty had homosexual tendencies, and asked him to resign.. a rare photo of chitty in happier days.

  2025-2035 As with all major religions around world who couldn't retain their young people church attendance is comprised of mostly the elderly.

  i am so sick of this cult, this religion has such a grip on her.

  since i left in 2014, things just are getting progressively worse.

  and she it's just getting deeper and deeper.

  This I'm afraid this is a common occurrence...One moves ahead spiritual (you) and one person is stuck in the cult.

  A happy ending? For most people the odds are not in your favorite.

  My 27 year marriage ended when I woke up but my Jdumb wife choose her church/god over her children and husband.

  I tried to talk to her....she was a deer in head lights with eyes glazed over....there was no getting through. They had completely taken over her mind and body.

  Living in the last of the last days - A new prophecy

  although not a new concept by the watchtower, particularly in public talks and at assemblies, they have now put this prophecy in writing.watchtower oct 2019 page 8 -13 study no.40 titled -keep busy during the last of "the last days".

  So how can the average JW prepare for this?

  1. They should all buy houses with basements! Because how can you move into the bunker/basement unless you have one.

  2. They must go to every meeting so that when the day comes when they are told what the secret knock is to get into someone else basement/bunker they will know it, other wise they might be outside where they will be "weeping and gashing their teeth"

  3. Stay busy! As the bumper sticker says "Get busy God is coming and he is pissed!"

  They have been asking their followers to "sprint" towards Armageddon for how how many years now?

  "Just a little more! You can make it! Just push a little harder.... You can make it! Give all you have! Trust that your reward is almost here.....

  Yes just go to any meeting at any Kingdom Hall.... and just look at their faces.

  Their look says it all!

  Tired?

  You bet they are!

  They are at the point that if the Society asked them to drink the "Kool Aide" most would be willing to take it.... just to be done with it!

  Not training speakers/teachers any more?

  not having attended any meetings since about 2001, for reasons of safety (sounds a bit dramatic but i don't like my wife being out on her own late at night where we live now), i have started accompanying her to the mid-week meeting.. when i was young, the ministry school and service meeting were central to training brothers to take the lead.

  you were assigned instruction talks, then if you cut it, you moved pretty rapidly to public talks - a full 55 mins at the time.

  i was just 18 years old when i gave my first public talk and this was a first step to moving rapidly through the ranks.

  "Whilst I don't expect they will become a totally internet based religion with no meetings, I do suspect that in future all parts will done as pre-recorded items from head office."

  Why not? Once they sell off all their kingdom halls to pay for their many law suits... it may become just that.

  People with be going to their lap tops to get their "spiritual food" with assemblies once or twice a year.

  The Watchtower Bible and Truck society use to be a publishing company and is now moving into being a media organization.

  Who knows maybe they will even have their own TV station.....

  yes, they tell me they have gotten over the whole thing and they tell me that and i need to also.

  my exgirl friend who was raised as a jw also has said the same thing.. my children say they got over it, however they are quick to point out how messed up their lives are now because of no college education and other missed opportunities.

  Your post is excellent!

  I would have to agree! I guess all this is really more complicated than we will ever know.

  If all of us "just got over it" than none of us would ever come to this website or websites like this. I believe places like this have helped a lot of people to "get over it" to some degree at least. So I guess I thank god some of us haven't got over it....Everyone makes a difference and we all do what we can. I salute everyone here and thank you for your wise words!

  My children say they got over it, however they are quick to point out how messed up their lives are now because of no college education and other missed opportunities. Of course it has effected them and I don't believe they have gotten over it. They just don't want to relive it.

  OK, I get it. However I think we are here to help others too.

  So maybe there is a fine line between obsessing over what the JWs did/took from you and moving pass it all and just trying to help others escape the Borg.
  

  Hundreds of people have read my book. Yet the two people I care about the most in the world (my children) haven't. They say, I wrote the book to say look at me poor me and they don't want to relive those years. I sure they will read it one day.
  

  That was never my intention. The book is dedicated to the thousands of people that have taken their own lives because they couldn't live in the Jehovah's Witness hell that their world had become.

  Anyway just feeling bad and just needed a place to vent.
